Dr. Richard L. “Rick” Gooch III is a native to the area, graduating from Kirksville High School. After graduation he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994. Dr. Gooch is one of the founding dentist of Kirksville Dental Group. He is certified to provide Perio Protect to his patients. He is an active board member of the local community health center, Northeast Missouri Health Council and a founding member and President of the Orange and Black Foundation. Dr. Gooch and his wife, Dr. Janet Gooch, reside in Kirksville with their three children, Olivia, Andrew, and Ethan. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, flying and spending time at Spring Lake boating and relaxing with family and friends.
Dr. Tisha R. Kice-Briggs grew up in Memphis, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with two degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She is currently serving on the A.T. Still University Board of Trustees. Dr. Kice is a previous trustee on the Missouri Dental Association Board of Trustees. She is a member and past president of the Northeast Dental Society. Dr. Kice is a member of the Missouri Dental Association and the American Dental Association. She is certified to complete orthodontic treatment by the International Association of Orthodontics. She is also ceritfied in Perio Protect. Dr. Kice enjoys volunteering every year at the Missouri Mission of Mercy. It is a free mobile dental clinic throughout the state of Missouri. She resides in Kirksville with her husband, David, and her sons, Isaac and Adrian. Her hobbies include running, skiing, photography and traveling.
Dr. Matthew T. Harden joined Kirksville Dental Group in 2015 to move closer to his roots. He is from Green Castle, Missouri graduating from Adair County R-1. Dr. Harden graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. During his time at MU, he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Dental Reserved Admissions Program. After graduating, he moved to Kansas City to obtain his DDS degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he graduated cum laude. During his time in dental school, Dr. Harden presented medical research at the national level and had an abstract published with the International Association for Dental Research. Dr. Harden is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Northeast Missouri Dental Society. Prior to moving to Kirksville he was the former vice president of the Columbia Dental Society. To give back, Dr. Harden has offered his time and abilities to provide free dental care through the Missouri Mission of Mercy, Kansas Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile Program. He has educated children about dental care through Project S.P.I.T. and provided dental screenings through the Score 1 for Health Program in Kansas City. In his free time, Dr. Harden and his wife Brittany enjoy spending time with their daughter Riley and dog Bo. They look forward to welcoming their son into the family this November. Hunting, fishing, and playing basketball are some of Dr. Harden's favorite hobbies.
